2018 Budget Hearing

The FY19 budget for Metro Arts is being presented to the Metropolitan Council on Tuesday, May 22 at 4:45PM. In previous years, the strong attendance of the arts community has made a good impression on the Council. 

Park at the courthouse and please arrive early, as budget hearing times can fluctuate.

Arts + Transit Town Hall

Please join Nashville Arts Coalitionand Transit for Nashvilleto learn about how Nashville's Transit Plan will benefit arts and culture in Nashville.  

Moderated by Brian Sexton (Creatives Day), our panel will include Abby Whisenant (Program Coordinator, Underground Arts Center at Oasis Center), Alex Macias (Conexión Americas), Ben Stone (Director of Arts and Culture at Transportation for America in Washington, D.C.); and Alan Valentine (Nashville Symphony). 

Transit for Nashville will make a brief presentation outlining the plan before we begin the panel discussion. 

The event will take place from 6:30-8:30pm at Casa Azafran. Space is limited.
