Connect with local officials.

  • Do you know who your council representative is? Click here to look up your council member for where you live, and where you work. You may contact your council member to thank them for their service to our community, or to express your support for certain legislation. Nashville Arts Coalition does not directly advocate or lobby.

  • In election cycles, Nashville Arts Coalition hosts events and posts information regarding candidates and policies on the ballot. NAC does not endorse any candidates or legislative ballot measures, but we do host forums and town hall style meetings to discuss how election results may affect the arts community.

  • Check out the Metro Council meeting calendar. Each year, Nashville Arts Coalition members attend the budget hearing for the Arts Commission, to show support for the public funding of the arts in Nashville. Each year, you can find the exact date and time by clicking on the “Council Budget Hearing Schedule”. If it is not listed, the dates and times have not been announced yet. Join NAC to receive e-mail reminders about budget hearings, and to learn more about the current political climate, and how it may affect the arts. Here’s our guide to attending a budget hearing.
